All day, every day, year-round, the 47 men and women assigned to the Security Department, under the command of Chief Dan Formisano, are here to serve residents and guests. Three access points allow guests to enter the community. Registered guests are screened and permitted access. Unlisted guests are asked to park nearby and contact their host to obtain entry permission. Three interior access points are at the villages of Oakbrook, The Island and Wedgewood. Guests here are further screened to ensure they are registered by one of the residents of the village for access to the village.
In addition, Security Supervisors and assigned road patrol officers perform their duties and can be found traveling the roadways of Boca West 24 hours daily. They serve as a deterrent to crime, enforce traffic regulations by issuing in-house Citations, and respond to all emergencies and non-emergencies including home alarm system activations.
If Security Department personnel do not have the resources to accomplish a given task, they are trained to reach-out to others who can, i.e. propane company technicians to temporarily seal a ruptured line.
