Board of Directors and Committee Meetings

The Board of Directors usually meets on the fourth Wednesday of the month, year-round. The Board meets after all Committees have held their monthly meetings the third week of the month and hears reports from each Committee Chair. Committees serve solely to review matters within their purview and make recommendations to the Board. Only the Board of Directors is empowered to take action and establish policies for the Association. In accordance with Florida Law, monthly meetings of the Board and its Committees are published to the “Members” of the Association. The Master Association’s governing documents define a “Member” as a village association. Each village Board of Directors appoints or elects two Representatives to the Master Association. These individuals represent the interests of their community to the Master Association Board of Directors. Residents should contact their Village Representative if they wish to share information with the Board. The Board of Directors and the Committees meet on a monthly basis. Committees

The Board is supported by the following committees, comprised of residents who meet once a month to provide input for the areas of Architectural Control, Landscape/Maintenance, Finance, Security & Safety, Grievance, Insurance and Special Projects/Future Planning. Each Board member Documents recorded as of June 4, 2020, per the Bylaws, Article IV, Section 4.17, the Committee meetings may be closed to persons other than the Committee members.

January 2026 Meeting Schedule

All meetings are held in the BWMA Office located at 20540 Country Club Blvd, Ste 101, Boca Raton, unless otherwise indicated. 

01/08/2026: The Strategic Planning Committee will be meetign on Thursday, January 15, 2026 @ 10:00 AM

01/07/2026: The Board will be meeting on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 @ 2:00 PM

12/31/2025: The Board will be meeting on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 @ 12:30 PM. 

Architectural Control Committee upholds the Maintenance Covenants for Boca West. The Committee generally meets monthly to review petitions from villages and homeowners for any projects that affect the exterior of the homes and property within the villages.

The Finance Committee is responsible for reviewing and making recommendations to the Board of Directors on the annual budget, reviewing monthly financial statements, and for developing and recommending long range financial objectives for the Association. The Committee generally meets monthly.

The Landscape Committee is charged with assisting the Executive Director and the Landscape Director in identifying projects and enhancements that will keep Boca West beautiful and increase property values. The Committee meets monthly to review a wide variety of horticultural, hardscape, lake maintenance issues, and to make recommendations for new structural elements.

The purpose of the Security and Safety Committee is to assist the Chief of Security by reviewing security and safety issues to ensure that Boca West continues to be a safe and secure place to live, through the establishment of reasonable restrictions and rules. The Committee meets monthly to review all activities such as performance of the on-site paramedics, criminal activity, traffic violations, transponder issues, and other related matters. The Grievance Committee handles the outcome of all vehicular traffic infractions for the month.

The Grievance Committee handles the outcome of all vehicle infractions and hears appeals from residents who receive violation notices. By State Statute a BWMA Board member is not permitted to sit on this Committee.
